Worship Academy Graduation - Saturday 9th May:

Joan Meneely (above) and Ruth Rogers (below) receive their graduation scrolls from Andy Bromley and Chris Bowater at Rostrevor

Reflections on Worship Academy
The past two years at Worship Academy have been a wonderful time of personal challenge, discovery and blessing. Through the course we have been challenged to step out of our comfort zones, try new things and go deeper with God. We have known God’s blessing and been challenged through the teaching brought by each tutor, through prayer ministry times and also through growing together with our fellow students.
The focus of Worship Academy is to provide a place where each person can meet with God and hear from Him personally, and space is always given for the Holy Spirit to work deeply at each person’s point of need.
We have both experienced God’s power to change and heal and feel that because of His work in us we are better able to serve Him in our daily lives at home and at church.
We would recommend Worship Academy to everyone at St.Mary’s. The next course is due to begin in January 2011. If you think you would like to join Worship Academy Ireland 2, or if you would like to know more, please speak to either of us at any time.

St Mary's Ablaze!
The last Sunday evening of the month sees a new and different service in St Mary’s.
‘ABLAZE’ is a contemporary worship celebration using multi-media and the creative arts with visiting worship leaders and speakers adding to the sense of encounter with God. Launched in January, ‘ABLAZE’ has drawn people of all ages from our own congregation as well as many visitors. It’s been really encouraging to see a full church at this service and to witness the response to God’s word as it has been communicated in challenging ways.
The next ‘ABLAZE’ is planned for late September.
Watch the site for further details.
